Surveys Catalog

Glory Anne Laffey, founder of ARCHIVES & ARCHITECTURE, conducted surveys for a number of local agencies during the 1990s, including San Jose, Campbell, and Los Altos. Her San Jose survey of the early 1990s resulted in the first expansion of the city’s Landmark registrations and Historic Resources Inventory since the 1970s. Since 1999, Dill Design Group (our predecessor firm), and ARCHIVES & ARCHITECTURE, have conducted eighteen surveys for local agencies, ranging from San Jose to Monterey. Many of these surveys resulted in the designation of Landmark Districts, Conservation Areas, or individual Landmarks. The surveys now provide a foundation for continued registration activity.
